Litter picks
Hi!
If you have been directed to this page by the QR code at Cairn Wood, thank you so much for showing interest in what I have to share with you….
In my spare time I do litter picks and I thought the fellow lovers of Cairn Wood would be interested to know what I have learnt while doing so!
- The number one piece of litter found is dog poop bags! (Used and un-used)
These are dangerous to wildlife, the environment, and children.
If you are a dog owner, please don’t contribute to Cairn Wood’s biggest litter problem.
- There is broken glass and used aerosol cans.
Every litter pick I have found broken glass and aerosol cans which have become rusty and flattened. Please keep this in mind with your children and dogs.
- Overall, Cairn wood is a very clean forest!
Though every time I have come to do a litter pick, I do find litter, I only leave with one bag of rubbish even after hours of looking. This is such a good sign for our forest.
I intend to continue to do litter picks at Cairn Wood to keep it a beautiful, clean forest for us all to enjoy. If anyone is interested in finding out more, feel free to contact me.
Many thanks,
Kristen
